About Annette Ansell, BA (Hons), MA, Dip. Counselling, Dip. Supervision, MBACP*

Annette Ansell

I am a Client-Centred counsellor/psychotherapist with 27 years experience of working with individuals and couples. I work from my consulting rooms in Fleet Street, EC4, within The City of London, near the Royal Courts of Justice, the Old Bailey and financial hub of London.

My philosophy is that we are all unique and therefore we are the true experts on ourselves. I believe we can all be trusted to find our own way through our problems, anxieties and life crises if we are listened to empathically, non-judgementally, with a non-directive approach and willingness from the therapist to put herself fully into attempting to understand what our situations are like, and what our individual meanings and experiences truly are.

About my counselling

In my counselling and psychotherapy I take a non-directive and non-judgemental approach to facilitating the exploration of what concerns you. I believe it is important that as clients we feel we are in control of the process and that the direction and depth we go to in sessions is informed and guided by ourselves.

You, therefore, will be doing most of the talking and I will be listening very hard and carefully, trying to empathise with, and understand as best I can your experience and what it means to you.
