Consulting Room Hire
I have four rooms in Fleet Street, near Ludgate Circus. The rooms are ten minutes from the District and Circle Lines between Temple or Mansion House tube stations and a couple of minutes over the road from City Thameslink station on Ludgate Hill. 10 minutes from Chancery Lane, Central Line station.
The suite of consulting rooms are on the 4th and 5th floors at the top of the building. There are toilets on both floors and a small kitchen with fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee percolator and mugs on the 4th floor.
The rooms are hired out on a sessional basis; 9am – 12 noon; 12.30pm - 4.30pm; 5pm - 8pm. There is a half-hour changeover period for counsellors to set up at the beginning (15 minutes) and then clear up at the end (15 minutes).
Room hire charges vary according to room size and time of day. Included in the hire charge is use of kitchen equipment, tissues and chilled spring water from a dispenser on 4th floor.
I ask for a £200 deposit, returnable as/when counsellors decide to leave.
I also ask for a month’s notice of leaving.
Payment is by Standing Order; the weekly hire charge is multiplied by 52 and divided by 12 to arrive at the monthly figure payable one month in advance by standing order, within the first week of each month.
There is a brief test of fire alarms on Wednesdays which last about 30 seconds.
In the vicinity, within a few minute’s walk, are St Paul’s Cathedral, The Royal Courts of Justice, The Old Bailey, St Brides Church is behind the rooms, Tate Modern and the Thames. Covent Garden, Strand and Charring Cross Road are only a 10-minute bus ride away, as are several West End theatres and cinemas.
There are numerous cafes, bars and restaurants with everything from a simple sandwich or egg and chips through to a full gourmet, 3-course meal with fine wines.
